"It may seem strange, but I haven't thought about it. It hasn't been long enough for me to know whether I still need nourishment. As for breathing, I suppose we could try holding our breath and see if we feel any discomfort." They performed the experiment, and found that they did not need to breathe, which might come in useful if, for example, they came to a flooded tunnel at some point.
