Lord Fred sinks to his knees. His arms give way under him and he slams to the ground. Color leaches out of the world. A deep desire to sleep overwhelms him. There is no more energy in his muscles.
Despite it all, Lord Fred pushes himself back to his knees. He must fight this.
Blearily he saw Astra fighting a horde of men. She kicked and punched and swung her sword and with each motion a man went down.
Lord Fred's arm was vibrating like a Turellian beesloth. It gave away one more time and he was asleep before he hit the ground.
"Awake!" and Lord Fred was aware in an instant. And tied securely to a brick wall with a multitude of ropes. To his left he saw Astra tied also. She was bruised and bloody but breathing steadily.
Fred was in a corner of a strange room made of stone and treated wood.. There were multitudes of dimply lit levels, stairs and ledges. It was as if a team of mad expert carpetenters had tried to build a child's play room.
Light shone in from around a corner. Fred realized that some people were coming! What does he do now?

Fred escapes with the trick knife disguised as part of his palm. He hides from view just in time.

Fred stays where he was. He couldn't get Astra away in time and his captors might harm her if he was gone.
