The Dragon, Friend or Foe?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 39369

"Why must the Dragon not learn his real story, Uncle? Indeed, how can it be possible for him to be unaware of it?"

"That will become apparent once you have read the book."

"You said 'our friend, the Dragon', but I think I detected a hint of sarcasm in your voice. I've never quite understood the nature of your relationship with the Dragon, Uncle. You don't seem to be on friendly terms with him, but when there has been a threat to him you have taken steps to protect him."

One of those steps being to turn Lord Fred into the three year old you, Belboz thought, though he naturally kept that thought to himself. Hannah must never find out what he had done to her. Though it had been for her own good, she would never understand.

"You will understand once you've read the book," was all that Belboz would say.

So Hannah read the book. Once she had finished, she said:

  1. "I understand now."
  2. "But I still don't fully understand. I think that you must know more than is written down in the book."
