"To be quiet frank, I'm . . . actually at a loss at exactly what your rival's famous dark items, The Three Strykes has anything to do with the Dragon's real story, Uncle." She points to an illustration in the book to make her point. "Hannah, what are you talking about, love?" Belboz chuckles, believing that Hannah was pulling his leg. It was actually a rather poor joke, but the little crease of consternation somehow made his adopted"daughter" so cute that he just couldn't be angry at her. Imagine his surprise he has when he sees that she was NOT joking, and the illustration (and all the text within the Red Tome) was about his old rival's famous"toys". Yes, somehow the entirety of the book's contents had been CHANGED! Changed without his knowledge (or permission)! "Oh good Lord," Belboz groans, looking up at the cavern's ceiling."Why?" The illustrations were rather detailed. One was of the living liquid dancers which came to this world in a quicksilver chamber! On the hour, every hour, it changed form, but was always quicksilver. And was always dancing! Another was of a dark skinned beauty, enchanted to dance forevermore. A gift to Stryke the Mage, and enhanced by his foul magic for. . . his own reasons. It made an interesting counterpoint to the liquid dancer and the last subject of this book's illustration. The last illustration was of a dancing bear, dressed in a funny costume and with a ring through his nose, dancing in a circus somewhere before Stryke came upon him. All three came from another realm like this one, but . . . .different. The same, but ...different. A long deceased associate and friend of Belboz had called this concept"alternate timestreams". . . .
