Plucky's home was isolated from the others of the natives. It had one
floor instead of the two. It also had a strange building next to it.
Plucky parked his vehicle close to it, and his assistants jumped off and
entered Plucky's home. Seconds later, part of the building began to swing
upwards and outwards. Once it was horizontal, Plucky drove his vehicle
into the opening revealed, and suitably surprised, the quartet followed.
Once they were all in, they looked around. There were no windows, so the
interior was lit by torches. But not normal torches. They appeared to be
surrounded by some metal and glass construction. Lit up by these torches
were benches containing bags with various tools and what seemed like spare
parts for the vehicle. Plucky helped his assistants to close the newly revealed door. Once it was back in position, they barricaded it with three stout beams, top, centre and bottom. Plucky invited them to follow him into the main building. This consisted of the one large room. A large wooden table was surrounded by wooden chairs in the corner to their left. The wall had two large windows flanking a large wooden door. The windows had some of drapes over them to ensure privacy. There was a fireplace in the wall directly ahead of them, which had a fire brightly burning. This was itself flanked by three comfy looking chairs. The right wall had three beds, each with their own small table. Each table had a candle on it, but the one farthest from them had a couple of books as well. The four were so busy looking at the surroundings to notice that the three gnomes had disappeared. After a quick search the three noticed a concealed trapdoor in the floor. They opened it and pondered as to whether they should climb down or not. They did so anyway. The three gnomes were indeed down there chatting to themselves. The four found themselves in a large area lit by the same guarded torches. At first glance it appeared to be a combination between a workshop and a kitchen, as there was a stove and a food store behind them. The numerous work benches were littered with tools both instantly recognisable and obscure. There was also a lot of odds-and-ends about which the four had no idea as to their form or function. Plucky suddenly noticed the four and grinned widely. "Welcome to my workshop. It was rather remiss of me not to introduce my assistants, Sparky Snr and Sparky Jnr. Both smiled when their names were mentioned. Plucky continued.
