Astra allowed Fred to console her for a few minutes while she sobbed.
Eventually she manages to attain control over emotions and gain her
composure. Without a word, Fred removes his arms from around her without
Astra having to say anything. She wiped the remaining tears from her eyes
and tried to smile at Fred. "Thank you." Then she became somber again and
bowed her head. Though no stranger to fear, the thought of going to sleep
and having the nightmare again was almost too much for even her. Sleep was
as important to her as any normal person. Fred considered putting his arms
around her again, but thought better of it. Instead he asked, "Why don't you try and remove that ring? Maybe it's finished with you now?" Astra shrugged, not too sure, but did as he asked anyway. She gave the ring a tug - and it moved, but only slightly. This gave them the indication that it hadn't quite finished with Astra yet.
