They didn't want to go through but Lassie had gotten badly soaked while
swimming (Stacy wasn't sure how the dog had made it across...she might
have struggled a bit too hard in the water...) Anyway, the dog was shaking
and the portal, though leading to dark woods, was warm and inviting.
