Deep in the Woods

"It looks as though we've escaped your dragon's clutches," Stacy said.

Astra made a face. "He's not my dragon. Yes, it looks as though we've managed to get away. I suppose that even the dragon couldn't control the appearance of the portal. We'd better try to find our way out of this forest, and see if we can get an idea of where we are."

After walking for a while, they came across a track. "That's encouraging," Astra said. "It looks as though people sometimes come this way."

"Couldn't it have been made by animals?" Stacy asked.

"No. There are wheel ruts. See there." She pointed. "Carts must sometimes use it."

As if in response to her remark, a horse-drawn cart came into view, approaching them. As it drew nearer, they saw that:

1. The driver was a man with a bushy black beard, who was evidently surprised to see two women, one of them naked. (He wasn't surprised to see a dog.)
2. The driver was a fox-morph. "Seems you were right after all," Astra said with a grin. "The track was made by animals." Stacy was too shocked by the sight of the morph to say anything.
3. The driver was a dwarf.
