The Ring

She held it up so Fred could have a good look at it. They saw that while it was a plain band in the sense there was no jewels encrusted in it, though it did have an intricate design carved in it. The design meant nothing to either of them, though Fred thought it meant the skeleton had to have been someone relatively important. Astra however came up with the rather controversial idea that the ring came from elsewhere. She was sure that though the statues showed some degree of craftmanship, the people who created them might not have been advanced enough to create something like the ring. Fred grudgingly conceded she might have a point. Though that did raise up other complications that they were too tired to discuss.

They found a spot fairly close to the statue and the skeleton, and decided to rest until morning.
