They had travelled a fair distance, so getting off to sleep was
fortunately not too difficult for either Fred or Astra. However, while
Fred was enjoying a peaceful slumber, Astra wasn't so lucky. Almost as
soon as she closed her eyes she was dreaming. Like now, she was in the Jungles, but of Fred there was no sign. She looked around frantically calling out his name, but there was no answer. Hearing a loud buzzing sound, she saw a large swarm of insects heading in her direction. She turned to run, but it looked like the trees had crowded together to prevent her from doing so. As she stood with her back against a tree, the swarm of insects changed shape, and she saw to her horror that they were forming a vague human face. First the eyes, than ears and nose, and finally a mouth. It was then the buzzing seemed to lower in pitch, and Astra could hear a myriad of voices. The mouth of the 'face' moved with the words "Help us! Help us!" Astra then woke up with a start. Looking towards Fred, she saw that he was still asleep, so decided not to wake him. She tried to get to sleep again, but it wouldn't come to her. Maybe that was just as well.
