Lost in the Middle of the Jungle

"So we head north for my homeland," Astra said. "I think that would be best in any event. Depending on just where in the Jungles we are, we could easily be as close or closer to Aqualaria as to Nom Malbra. Besides, there is a mountain range on the northern border of Nom Malbra which we would have to cross if we wanted to go there. We could easily have a journey of many days, or even weeks, ahead of us, though. Still, at least we have a prospect of seeing our homes again, which we didn't whilst we were trapped on the island."

"How are we going to manage to keep heading north?" Fred asked. "We have no compass, and the jungle canopy is so thick that it will be impossible to navigate by the sun."

1. Astra knows a cunning method of navigating.
2. Astra says that they will have to hope that most of the jungle is less dense, so that they will be able to see the sky. "In other words, we will have to trust to luck," Fred observes.
