Separated!

Fred and Astra went through first, but to their horror, as soon as Astra had stepped through, the portal disappeared! Alfred and Velus both stared in dismay at the portal which now displayed a scene set in a lush green valley that neither of them recognised. They were also separated from Fred and Astra by a distance the four of them didn't even want to try and work out.

The jungle that the pair now were was extremely dense, with not much light filtering through the canopy above them. The only sounds they could hear was that of the buzz and whine of various insects. "Astra, is it possible for us to be in Aqualaria?" Fred asked, without much hope.

"No, I don't think so," Astra replied. "I don't claim to know every inch of the jungle that covers most of my country, though I don't think it is as quite as dense as this. Also, it's too quiet."

"Too quiet?"

"Yes. In Aqualaria, there are the sounds of monkeys and birds, the occasional roar of a lion or a tiger. Here, there is nothing but insects."

"Do you have any idea where we are then?" Fred asked, as they explored, in the vain hope of finding anything remotely helpful.

"The area simply known as the Sweltering Jungles of the South is my best guess," Astra said.

"The Sweltering Jungles? Doesn't the Kingdom of Hespan have a colony bordering here?"

"Nom Malbra, yes. You don't want to go there do you?"

2. "No."
3. "Perhaps we better try and make our way back to Aqualaria"
