The tunnel ended in a cavern that was at least twice the size of the one
Stacy had found herself in when she had stepped through the portal - and
speaking of portals, there was one in the dead centre, exactly identical
to the one
she had stepped through. Astra had to have a good look at this strange
phenomenon. She never even heard of portals before, let alone seen one.
Astra gave a gasp and Stacy hurried over to see what the matter
was. Through the portal she could see Trafalgar Square in London, and surprised herself by remembering it as such. Just to the left of centre was the 202 foot Nelson's Column (including the 17 foot of statue). She was also able to recognise that, mainly by the four bronze lions at its base. The most noticable thing about it, however, is that the usually bustling square was completely deserted, save for the masses of pigeons. Astra meanwhile had reached out an arm to touch it...
