"We must hope that we can get out of the caverns without alerting the dragon. If we can manage that, then outside we should be relatively safe. I imagine that you will want to return to your home, wherever it may be. Meanwhile I can re-equip myself, and shall hope to either find a mage who will be willing to accompany me when I return to the caves or at the very least try to get magical wards placed on myself and my kit that may give me some chance against the wyrm."

"It sounds like it will still be incredibly dangerous, though."

"Of course, Stacy. But having once determined to slay the beast, I am honour-bound to continue trying."

1. The tunnel came out into a large cavern.
2. They encountered a knight, who said that he was Lord Fred and was on a quest to kill the dragon.
3. It became clear to them that the dragon had them under surveillance when Stacy's own clothes vanished.
