The Never Ending Quest - Episode 324

Lord Fred finds himself tied to a bed. A light encased in glass hangs over his head. He can barely move his head. To the right is a wall made of white bumpy material. There is a picture on it. A scantily clad woman is punching a man. Below her is the legend 'Wonder Woman'.
To the left is a white, stained door. Around it are arranged many long white boxes full of many loosely bound books. Lord Fred notices one of the books has a picture of this 'Wonder Woman' on it's cover.
The door slides open. A tall, clean shaven man comes in. He is wearing beige colored pants, a belt and a black shirt. On it's cover is a red and yellow diamond shape with a stylized 'S'.

"There's not much time for this." said the man. "You don't notice what's been going on in your body because of something I had you ingest. That's why you're not registering all of your senses to their full extent. Anywho, the dragon guy you've been battling... He's been creating were-creatures like crazy. And it's upsetting the balance of the universe. Imagine a table with a central support. Stack too much on one end and it will tilt, causing chaos. That's what this dragon is doing. He is creating too many were-creatures. It's upsetting the balance that has were-creatures in the other fictional milleius. You know what I'm talking about. Someone writes a story where were-wolves rule the kingdom. Someone else writes a story where all females turn into were-creatures. This is all delicately balanced. The distribution of were...uh...ness. Soon, if the dragon creates too many were-creatures, the whole fictional framework will fall apart. There won't be any Jack Nicholoson as a werewolf stories anymore. The copies of the stories will...who knows? One guy at MIT thinks they'll explode with the force of an atomic bomb. Now...you're going back to the dragon's caves. Forget about the ravaged fields and the harrasing of soilders. You have to kill the dragon before the whole metaphysical universe goes ka-blooey."
A bell jingled. "Gotta go." said the man. "That guy wants to buy more 'Iron Man'. I don't have many left."

The door closed and the familar signals of a teleportation spell started up.

  1. Lord Fred, as a human, finds himself back inside the caves.
  2. Lord Fred, as a fox morph finds himself back on -top- of the caves.
  3. The signals fade away and Lord Fred is still tied to the bed!
