Taco Hell!!!

At the counter stood a young man in thick-rimmed glasses and a faded unifourm. He had a strange, faraway look to his eyes - a thousand-yard stare, they called it. Veterans of particularly savage wars would sometimes acquire that look, and Fred wondered what could have happened to this fellow.

"Hale, there lad." said Fred. "Please, fetch me your finest Chalupa Supreme, and also cook a Mexican Value Meal as well. I assume it won't take longer than a couple of hours to whip up this feast?"

"Soft or crunchy tacos, sir?" asked the lad. Fred noticed his nametag read 'Ryudo'.

"Huh?"

"On your Mexican Meal, sir." Ryudo said. "Do you want the tacos soft shelled, or, do you want them crunchy-shelled?"

"Oh my!" said Fred. "So many options... Well, I believe I'll take soft tacoes. Yes, that sounds delectable."

Ryudo named off a price. Fred handed him a gold Alacrium, since he didn't know what Dollars were. Ryudo looked at him funny and flipped the coin into the cash register. Then he handed Fred a receipt and told him his order would be ready soon.

Fred sat down and looked with curiousity at some of the other patrons. Here was a band of marauding orcs, savagely consuming a platter of a hundred tacos. In another corner Fred saw a gigantic blob of pulsating flesh. In yet another corner Wookies were actively playing Dungeon Dice Monsters. Fred glanced out the window and thought the sight of stars floating by was quiet pretty. He wondered where Astra was, and whether she was being tortured or not. Hopefully not, Fred thought.

His order was brought by a nubile Spanish girl. Fred chowed down, and felt significantly better afterward. "Now if only I had a good meal like this back at that house, maybe I would've had the strength to rescue Astra!!!"
