Velus lay on Betty's floor, feeling rathar bored, tired, and grumpy. "Why
couldn't I go with Fred with those men?" he thought, "There's absolutely
nothing to do here," he got up, "I haven't had a thing to do since
we got sucked into that dark void in that marketplace. . ." (4301) he
walked out through the front door, which Fred was careless enough to leave
open. "Maybe I'll go look for him". He ran out onto the street. Screeeeech Unaware of modern day traffic, Velus narrowly escaped the car. "Get off the road you stinkin' mutt!" the driver shouted angrily. Velus barked at the creature that nearly killed him. Fred had left the Taco Bell and was rummaging through his pack. In all the excitement of the recent events, he had forgotten it's contents. He pulled out tin of food, a mysterious red rock, a rope, and a three foot long stick of wood (2009). Suddenly, the rope began to float. "What sorcery is this?!" Fred shouted and pulled out his sword. Just as suddenly as it started floating, it stopped. "Wait, what caused this rope to float in the past? A dog barking? Velus! I have forgotten him!"
