Astra, very startled by the loud sound of the siren, dropped her dagger.
Betty, seeing her chance, quickly turned around and ran back into her
house and locked the door, sweating like mad. She opened the curtain a
crack and watched the chaos outside. The police had managed to handcuff
Astra and were trying to push her into the car. She was screaming and
struggling like mad, as if the police were feeding her to some vicious
beast. "Oh god. . ." Betty thought. "I wish I could just wake up and this
whole crazy string of events would never have happend. Poor Fred. . . No,
he's still alive and kicking in the Never-Ending Quest. Wait! Maybe I
could get Sir Toby or someone to help me!"
