Betty and the Policeman

A young, very earnest policman was standing there. "Excuse me," he said. "I believe that you were the woman that was being threatened with a knife just now."

"A dagger, actually. Yes, that was me."

"I'd like to take a statement from you, please."

How am I going to explain all this? Betty wondered. I can't tell them that Fred and Astra came from a fictional addventure. They'll think I'm insane. Besides, I don't want to get Astra into any more trouble than she's already in.

1. Betty told the truth, aware that it would seem crazy.
2. Betty made something up.
3. "There's no need for a statement, since I don't want to press charges," she said. "Could you release the woman into my care, please?"
