The Never Ending Quest - Episode 3152

Sir Josh and the Story Cops dashed up the left hand staircase. They found
themselves in a hallway lined with doors. Splitting up, they discovered
that only one of the doors was unlocked.
”You should go in there and check it out,” said the cops to Josh. ”A-a-alone?” Josh asked fearfully. ”In our capacity as story police, we have already outstayed our welcome. This is YOUR quest, Sir Josh.” ”Very well.” Josh headed for the door. ”Wait!” said one of the cops (uncharacteristically speaking for himself). “You’ll need this.” The cop handed Josh a loaded handgun and a box with 15 bullets inside. ”Uh, should you really be arming me with a gun in a medieval setting?” Josh asked. The cop shrugged. “Eh, what are you gonna do? I never said I was a GOOD story cop.” Josh went through the door. It took him much longer than expected just to pull it open…a full 15 seconds or so. There wasn’t much light in this area. Josh closed the door behind him and waited for his eyes to adjust. He found himself in another hall, very dingy and narrow with a bend to the right. Before the bend was another door. Josh tried the knob on the door, and it was unlocked.
