Love Hurts

"What's the matter?" Alfred asked, alarmed. He couldn't imagine why she should appear so distressed. He took her in his arms, and clumsily attempted to comfort her.

"I-I don't know," Astra replied between sobs. "Surely one should be happy when one's in love, but I feel absolutely wretched."

"Where's that coconut?" Alfred said. "I'll get it to make you happy."

"What do you mean, beloved?"

"Well you see, I found this wish-granting coconut. It must still be around here somewhere."

1. Alfred finds the coconut, and wishes that Astra should be happy.
2. Alfred can't find the coconut.
3. When Astra realises that Alfred has made her love him using the coconut, she is so angry with him that it undoes the coconut's effect on her.
