Fred and Astra were extremely surprised to see exact duplicates of themselves descending the volcano. With them was a young man with red hair who, in an odd way, strongly resembled Astra. How they had seemed from a distance like Velus wasn't quite clear, but then again there was a lot of evil magic about on this island.
Fred pondered as to the meaning of this. Gryffd, the court wizard, had theorized about the existance of other worlds similar yet different from ours before he died in that unfortunate incident involving an invention he called a "microwave." Could these people come from such an universe? Could it have been to an entirely different world rather than a distant island to which they had been transported after killing the Kobold? Or could these be the dreaded dopplegangers of which he had heard legends? Before Fred could decide, however, Astra was overcome by a look of absolute terror, followed by one of rage. "Die, minions of the Dragon!" she cried out. She promptly tripped over a coconut that was lying in her path, although Fred caught her before she could hit the ground. "Forgive her, she's had a rather hard time lately," Fred told the newcomers by way of explanation. "So who would you be?" "I am Lord Frederigo D'Honaire, and this is Princess Astra of Aqualaria and her brother, Alex," responded the other Fred. "You?" "I'm also Astra, and these are Fred and Velus," responded Astra. "Oh, my head," said the young redhaired man, Alex. "This is even worse than being turned into a woman! Actually, I kind of liked being a woman now that I think about it.
