The cries were definitely coming from the tower. But they could just not tell if they were human or animal.

The cries, whatever they were, continued. The entity was in much pain.

  1. The two decided to storm the tower. Whatever was causing the pain had to be stopped.
  2. Heavy of heart, they sneak past the tower, though they resolve to come back with reinforcements.
