Lava Flow

Fred was interrupted by Artemis at this point. "Look!" she said, pointing over Fred's shoulder. A thin stream of red-hot lava was flowing down the tunnel towards them. They turned and ran.

Fred's armour wasn't really designed for running in, and he struggled to keep up with the other two. Eventually, when he was afraid that he was going to lose contact with Artemis and Astra, they slowed to a walk. "Any sign of the lava?" Astra called back to him.

"No," he called back. "I think we should be safe now."

He walked up to the women, and the three of them took stock of where they were.

1. They were in the middle of a maze of twisty little passages, all of them different.
