"Oh, it's just a chained up plain woman," Fred shrugged. "No need to
waste our precious time on that." "Good point," the old necromancer croaked in agreement. "But I wonder where that staircase leads to? Maybe the plain woman is used as a deterrent to keep any gallant passer-bys from taking the effort to explore it." "Yes, maybe," mused Fred. "If I were to inspect the staircase I would be bound by my code of conduct to set her free, and then escort her to safety. A pain in the ass by all accounts. Unless...""Unless what?" "You're a necromancer, right?""Yup." "Couldn't you...like, drain away her life energies and use her corpse as a tool in our quest to slay the terrible dragon? Huh?" A distant look came over Belboz, as if he was focused on a point thousands of miles away. Moments later he came to."By the goddess!" Fred wailed, covering his nose. "What is that horrid smell!?" "I knew that bean-burrito I ate this morning would catch up with me!" laughed the necromage. "That was a ripe one! Wet too! Woo! Silent but violent, as they say! But, as you were saying, I could use another undead minion. I suppose I could summon a water elemental to destroy her, and it would be no problem for me to animate her lifeless body after I levitate myself accross the surface of the water...but how are you going to cross?""A dragonslayer always comes prepared" Fred smirked, producing a small box with the word 'ACME' marking it in red. "The passageway was much too narrow for me to take advantage of this, but now I have plenty of room..." 20 minutes later... "Are you done blowing that damn thing up!?" asked a very impatient Belboz, propped on a boulder a few feet above where the Allarian Lord was toiling with his darnfangled rubber contraption. "Quit harshing my buzz!" shouted a very dizzy Fred, cursing the fact he hadn't brought his air-pump."'A dragonslayer always comes prepared!'"Belboz mocked from above. "Okay, mister all powerful corpse animator! Let's see you inflate this!"With a flick of his wrist, Belboz inflated the raft. Fred blinked. "Why didn't you do that before!?""You never asked," Belboz quiped. "Now let's get on with this!"
