No yellow-bellied Story Cops be of any concern to me now, arrrr." "No! You don't understand!” Fred exclaimed, a sense of urgency in his words. "I'm in a breech of contract! I know I spoke big, but you really just can't kill Story Cops! It's against the Rules! This entire thread could be discontinued if they find us!""Heavy stuff..." "That's right, so we need to find a hiding place...and quick! The only way to do that is to phase out so that they can't track us."The weathered Seacaptain gave Fred a blank look. "Huh?" "Oh, right. I suppose you don't know what 'phase out' means. It's simple, really. All we do is leave the story for a few episodes and lay low. The plot can focus around some other minor characters for a few rounds, until we get the cops off our backs." "Sounds dangerous.""It is dangerous. We could get hopelessly lost and never find our way back to the storyline, but that is a risk we'll have to take. There's also the chance that the minor characters will attempt to sabotage the story, and that's another risk I'm willing to take."
