There was a knock at the door. That alarmed me a little. I had no friends
or acquaintances on Weston II. Who could possibly want to talk to me? But
perhaps they had just got the wrong room. Still, this was Weston
II and I wasn't going to take any chances. Cautiously, I made my way to
the door, my laser pistol drawn and ready. I activated the door eye and the image that appeared on the other side startled me, to say the least! It was ol' tubeface!! Or...it was a tubeface. But what was an Ibornite doing on Weston II!? And more importantly, why was one pounding on my door!? Well, only one way to find out...I opened the door, against my better judgment, and hid the pistol behind my back. "Can I help you?" I said, trying not to sound too shaken. It clicked and whistled in response. Big surprise. It was then I realized that the Ibornite was not alone; standing to it's left was a standard Earth prototype android, the kind used for diplomatic meetings and other peaceful situations (you didn't see too many of these types on Weston II). It was basically harmless; a walking galactic encyclopedia. Good thing! These Ibornites sure seemed to favor Earth technology!"My Master wishes to know if you are the Captain of the freighter Princess Astra," it translated the Ib's incomprehensible clickings in it's cool, metallic voice. "According to our information, you are. It is an urgent matter that brings us here." According to their information!? Maybe I was, and maybe I wasn't! "What's it to ya!?" I asked.
