The Never Ending Quest - Episode 20801

Somehow, in the excitement of the quest, this hadn't really occured to Fred. "Well... My name is Lord Frederigo D'Honaire and I'm part of the Adventurer's guild. Although I'm actually not a lord of anything. Lord is my first name. My father was a haberdasher in Camelyn who believed himself to be a direct descendant of the lost Heron House, so he gave me the first name of Lord to reflect my noble birth. I joined the Adventurer's Guild at 16 when he went out of business. I rose to become one of the greatest warriors in the Kingdom"--largely because everyone greater than him had been killed in this quest, but he didn't mention that--"and have now gone in quest to kill the Dragon of the Southern Caves. And you, my lady?"

"I am Irena of Vjoirca," she said. "Vjorica is a divided land, where half the people shun magic and half embrace it. Yet all possess a certain amount of magical aptitute. I am one of the few of my people without it. Yet because I was born on the magician side of Vjorica, I would be forever shunned in the other one. So I left the extradimensional plane in which Vjorica is located through the gate in the Carpathia Mountains, and set out to prove myself as an adventurer. I, too, became a famous adventurer, and was hired by the court of Aqualaria to kill the Dragon. I found my way into the Dragon's caves and reached this chest. But it was enchanted so that the Dragon would be alerted if it was opened, and he chained me here as an example."

  1. Now that they had gotten the exposition over with, Fred and Irena set off to look for some clothes.
  2. Unfortunately, the chains had also been enchanted to alert the Dragon if they were cut. Oops.
