Reading the Scroll

"What about me?" asked the beautiful naked woman, but Fred had already left. "Typical," she finished as she sat down on the chest and crossed her arms.

Fred left the caverns and travelled back to town without stopping once. He marched into town straight to the wise old seer's house. "I need this translated. It's very important!"

"Let me see..." said the seer peering at the scroll. "... Yes. Yes. Mmm."

"What? What does it say?" Fred asked impatiantly.

"Very strange. It says, 'A beautiful naked woman chained to a chest? What are you waiting for adventurer? Free her and get her some clothes!'"

"Oh," said fred, looking slightly downcast. "I've got to go!"

Fred journeyed back to the dragon's lair without stopping, and followed his path back to the woman. When he arrived she was sitting on the ground with her back against the chest looking very unhappy. "Are you going to get me out of here or not?" asked the woman.

"Well, of course! That's what the scroll said I should do," replied Fred.

"Well, its about time!" exclaimed the woman.

Fred pulled out his sword and prepared to break the chains holding the woman to the chest.

"Wait!" she screached out, "Do you know what you're doing? Are you sure this is safe?"

"I know perfectly well what I am doing and of course it is safe," Fred retorted. "You can't become a knight in these lands without taking even the most rudimentary courses in freeing women chained to treasure chests." Before should could respond to this, Fred swung his sword and cut the chains holding the woman to the chest.

The swiftness with which she was freed took the woman by surprise. A moment later she looked up at Fred and said...

1. Well, aren't you even going to introduce yourself?
2. I'm gasping for a drink.
3. Thanks. Now I absolutely must find some clothing.
