"What's all this, then?" demanded the three-legged horse as it rhumba'd
into the room.
wait a minute, thought Fred. I wasn't in any room, I was in the forest! Fred shook his head and then awoke to find himself in the woods. Beside him was the bear who was the drunkard who had been bespelled by the Dragon. Then Fred heard the twitch of a breaking twig! He twirled from off the dirt, unsheathed his sword faster than you could say alikazam! and stood a stance that meant business! From behind some trees a three-legged horse hobbled towards Fred. "What's this?" said Fred. "A three-legged horse, like in my dream. Can you, uh, talk?" The three-legged horse stared at Fred, stared at Fred's boots, spit and then yawned. "I, uh, guess not," said Fred. Just then a madman rushed into the glen. His eyes were wide with terror, his lips twitched in glee and in his hands he held a club doused in pitch and alighted with some eldritch green flame! Fred was so taken aback that he didn't defend himself! Instead, it was the three-legged horse that used one of its two hind legs to kick the madman in the gut which then caused him to fly backwards into a shrubbery which caught fire from the flaming club which then spread onto the man who then began to scream loudly and painfully causing the horse to hobble off as fast as it could in the opposite direction, Bruno to awaken from a rather naughty dream, and Fred to regain some amount of composure. This lasted for all of two point six seconds when the madman, now completely engulfed in the eldritch flames (as well as enmeshed in the burning shrubbery), groaned terribly, his eyes bugging out like two boiling eggs, his hair standing straight from his scalp, his tongue flapping in and out like an old window-shade! "SQUEEEEEEK! BLARG!!!" he yelled and then his whole entire body exploded! After the nimbus of afterglow disappeared and Bruno quickly put out the burning shrubbery the only way he knew (use your imagination), the three- legged horse whinnied, Bruno sighed, and Fred couldn't help but think this all smacked of incredible coincidence. just like my dream! sorta kinda, anyway... he thought. And if there was one thing Fred didn't like, it was coincidences.
