The Never Ending Quest - Episode 2016

So it came to pass that Astra and Ardua were precariously perched on a slimy outflow pipe yards from Fred and Velus.
The two others were in a situation all their own dangerous. The ladder they had used to get to the platform they stood would not again support Lord Fred's weight. And the walkway the ladder led to had collapsed partly!
Fred was no fool. He decided to ...

  1. send Astra and Ardua through the outflow pipe to see if they can come around and help.
  2. send Velus for help for the pipe's opening was too small. The dog went the long way around the cavern and exited.
  3. use the ladder to reach a seperate opening. If it was horizontal it might not crack right away, allowing Fred to reach *a* pipe and a possible way out for him and his companions.
  4. run around in circles, screaming and sobbing.
  5. Astra looks up at the rockface above them.
