Fred and Astra were paked in an alcover far above the odd marketplace.
Velus had gone to gather intelligence when they were discovered. Fortunately it was an ally. Paladin, a noble warrior who operated out of the region dubbed 'The Three Kingdoms'. He was a tall man, with a square chin, an almost non-existent nose and hair the color of beach sand. He gallantly gave his purple cloak to Astra. She only accepted on the possibillity they might need to go into the market below. In whispers, Paladin told of how he was hired by a rich uncle of one of the kidnapped victims. Her name was Exotica and she had been training as the town witch for the village of Hephaesteus. It was especially important that she be found for the village had great need of one who could cure colds and deliver babies and bandage wounds and close portals to the Dungeon Dimensions. Exotica was nowhere near the level of an average witch but she could do much that others couldn't. "What about the witch that was training Exotica?" whispered Astra. "Despite all her power, she is dying. She doesn't have time to take on a new apprentice. She needs to teach Exotica what she knows. Sounds funky, I know but as I understand it, it's like a roof. The elderly witch has already built the walls and all Exotica needs is the roof and the doors..." Their conversation was interupted by...
