The Never Ending Quest - Episode 22018

Velus recoiled in alarm when he saw a stranger with Fred and Astra. "It's all right, Velus," Fred reassured him. "This is a friend. He's Paladin from the Three Kingdoms, and he's here to rescue a girl called Exotica."

"Why are you talking to a dog?" Paladin wanted to know, so Fred had to explain all about Velus.

Once that was done, Fred asked Velus what he had found. It took a little time using their code of barks, especially as Velus insisted on starting by telling Astra that the purple cloak really clashed with her red hair. But eventually they learned:

  1. That there was a route that should allow them to skirt round the marketplace unobserved.
  2. That they would have to go through the heart of the marketplace. Though Astra would no longer stand out, Fred's armour might well draw unwelcome attention.
  3. That as luck would have it, he had found out where Exotica was being held captive.
