But there's going to come a point where the standard issue female uniform is no longer practical, for all its elasticity. The hem would be up past your - well, never mind. I know you've always hated the uniform anyway, and I can understand that. So would you like to see if you can design yourself something a little more practical? With pants instead of a skirt, perhaps? You'll have to keep the same colour and the Starfleet emblem of course. When you've come up with something, let me see it for my approval, but I'm sure that it will be a formality."

"Yes, Sir," Fred said. A search through Uhura's memories did not reveal any dressmaking ability. Perhaps she could ask Christine Chapel for assistance.
