Fred felt that he needed Qundarian to clarify what he had said: "You're saying that this reliving of my death will happen at the end of each day? Does that mean at midnight?" Qundarian nodded. "That is correct."

"And you say I can learn to communicate and to accomplish things through the power of my mind. How exactly do I learn to do that? And you say that it will take me some time to learn. How long?"

"Let me answer the last question first. I cannot say exactly, but it is likely to be:

  1. "No more than a day or two."
  2. "About a week."
  3. "Many months." That was not the answer that Fred had wanted to hear.
