"Many months?" echoed Fred. "Aye," responded Qundarian. Fred was silent
for a long time. "Sorry it has to be that way," Qundarian
apologized. "Not only do I have to find a way to sever the chain holding
me to this world," said Fred, "but it will take several months just to
learn how to use my abilities and be able to make some sort of difference
in the first place?" Qundarian didn't answer. Fred slowly began to
realize that his new world...his new existence...was a nightmare from
which he wouldn't awaken. He had tried to help Astra and her sister...and
Astra had betrayed and murdered him. Astra had not only killed him...she
had sent him to Hell. Every night, he would relive his death at her
hands...and there was nothing he could do about it. It seemed so
hopeless...
