Fred the Ghost

Fred ruefully reflected that, at least for himself, the old man's curse had come true. He would not be leaving the caverns, or at least not as a living man. He supposed he must be a ghost now. He wondered whether he would be able to make himself visible to Astra. If he could manage to frighten her, it would be at least some small measure of payback for his death at her hands.

But before he could experiment, a party of the dragon's warriors arrived. Fred wondered how they had found the spot so quickly. Could the old man have been in league with the dragon, or was there another explanation? Some magical means of communication between themselves and Astra, perhaps?

Two of the warriors lifted the sleeping Belinda, and two more did the same with Carola. Everyone left the chamber, and Fred followed, glad to find that he was not restricted to the spot where he had died.

Eventually:

1. The party split into two, some of the warriors carrying Belinda and Astra back to the prison island, part going with Astra back to the main cavern. [1619] Fred followed the first group.
2. The party split into two, some of the warriors carrying Belinda and Astra back to the prison island, part going with Astra back to the main cavern. [1619] Fred followed the second group.
3. The whole party went back to the main cavern. [1619] Perhaps the dragon had something new in mind for Belinda and Carola? Fred followed.
4. The party encountered the old man, who...
5. Doh! Options 1 and 2 should of course refer to "Belinda and Carola", not "Belinda and Astra".
