The Never Ending Quest - Episode 15301

In a volcano deep in the Dragon's caves, the Lord of Nod stood in court.
His great throne room was in the center of the volcano. He sat on a
majestic throne, covered with ornate designs that shifted and changed every
second. Floating in front of him was the center of the room was his own
material body, existing partly in dream and partly in reality, kept alive
and yet permanantly sleeping by the strange magic of the volcano palace.
Sitting on a slightly less ornate throne next to him was his queen. She was
his perfect mate, generated by his dreams. "Report," said the Lord of Nod to his adviser, Hedin. Hedin was his wisest adviser, old and grey, or at least he seemed that way. In reality he was just part of the Lord of Nod's mind, like everything else here. Hedin represented the Lord of Nod's wisdom. "The chaos is growing, my Lord," said Hedin. No one referred to the Lord of Nod by his true name, because if anyone did, he would wake up and his entire dream reality would be lost. "It has even spread to the lower levels of your volcano palace. Not only that, but someone has entered your reality thread without even falling asleep. The boundary between the different threads of reality is starting to break down." "Is there anything we can do?" asked the Lord of Nod. He was becoming afraid, for the first time in a long time. He hoped it would not cause him to wake up. "Maybe. Two champions, from different threads of reality, have entered the dream world. Perhaps they could be of use to us. But they are both deep in the Chaos, and retreiving them could be difficult." "Very well then," said the Lord of Nod. "Retreive them, if you can."
