When Fred uttered the last words they both felt a sudden tinge of cold. It
lasted only a moment, as if a warning. Fred coughed a little cough and said, "It is good enough for me though." He looked around warily, as if trying too spot their unknown contract holder. "It seems that there is nothing else we can do than to continue down this path." They slowly made their way down the mountainside. Astra did the most work having to both support fred, for his ankle was not fit to carry his weight, and carry a shivering, albeit not wholly unhappy, Velus. Almost a full day they struggled downwards. At last, with their bellies screaming in outrage after food and Velus almost frozen stiff, they reached the end of the path:
