"In any case, there's no time to carry out repairs," Stacy went on. "So we're going to die?" Paula asked. "Not if I can help it. We'll just have to teleport out. That's the transporter over there. Can you drag Burke over to it whilst I lock onto the ship that brought me back to Earth?"

Paule did as Stacy asked, and thirty seconds later Stacy joined her and Burke in the transporter. "Let's hope I got this right," she said. "I couldn't afford the time to radio the ship to check it was them." She reached to press the button beside her, and they dematerialised.

  1. A millisecond latter they rematerialised on the alien ship.
  2. They materialised - but not where Stacy had intended.
  3. Nothing happened.
