There was a brief moment of disorientation, and Paula and Stacy
rematerialized, the bound and unconsious Dr. Burke at their feet. The two
women looked around, blinking. "Um," said Paula. "This doesn't look like the inside of a spaceship to me." "I wonder what I did wrong," said Stacy, looking around at the dense forest that surrounded them. "I don't suppose you have any idea where we are?" asked Paula. "Um, in the woods somewhere, apparently." Paula gave her a dirty look, and Stacy smiled despite herself. "I'd guess we're still in Alabama somewhere. With luck, maybe we're not too far from the original landing site." She felt far less confident than she sounded, though. "These aliens didn't give you a communicator or anything, did they?" asked Paula hopefully.
