Fred and Astra bit down on the berries but just as quickly stopped. They
heard the sounds of snuffling (yes, snuffling!) back from where only
moments before the sickening sounds of bone and fluff were heard.
"GASP!" said Fred (yes, he/she really did say it). "They're coming after us!!!" "Now you believe me!" said Astra triumphantly. "You really should have--" "RUN!!!!" screamed Alex. (who, by the way was NOT chomping down on berries). They ran even as four of the cutest, plushest and sincerest looking bunnies hopped into the berry patch. Our trio ran and ran and ran. And ran and ran and ran. And ran and ran and ran. After the first hour they stopped running, not because they felt sure they had outrun the cuddly villains, but because their stomachs hurt...Fred and Astra's more so than Alex's. Then the change began, and within moments Fred and Astra were back to normal. Then they noticed their surroundings. "GASP!" said Fred again. "We ran all the way to the rim of this here extinct volcano...only its NOT extinct!" Indeed it was not. The smell of sulphur burned into their nostrils, the plop of volcanic magma resounded within their ears, and the coarse pumice felt as grit beneath their feet. Astra knew exactly where they were, "This is the Awfully Big Maki-Maki Bad Boy Go Boom Crater!!! We've got to get out of here!!! "Awfully Big Maki-Maki Bad Boy Go Boom Crater?!!?" said Fred with obvious wonder. "Who in their right minds would call a volcano the Awfully Big Maki-Maki Bad--" "Shut up and run!!!" said Astra. And their running started anew.
