"No!" shouted Astra and knocked the berry out of his hand, unintentionaly
launching it straight into Fred's wide-open mouth and right into his
belly with an audible sploosh! Robert jerked his hand away with an injured look on his face. "Ow! Why did you do that?" he questioned Astra, narrowing his eyes on her resentfully. "That really hurt!" "I almost forgot," came Astra's reply, "only one with a pure heart can injest any of the fruit that grows on this island!""Sounds like some more Amazonian jibber-jabber," Robert sneered, reaching for another peice of purple berry goodness. Astra slapped his hand again, this time more violently. Robert yelped like a dog and toppled over backward, crashing into a berry bush. "That being said, I'm quite hungry," Astra declared, snatching a handfull of the berries from a nearby bush and plopping them into her mouth. Fred was doing the same, his hands and face covered in purple juice. They both agreed it was the best fruit they had ever had. Alexis still seemed reserved, and steadfastly refused to eat any of the strange fruit. "So Astra," Fred said with a mouthfull of berries, "what does happen if you eat these without a pure heart?""Good question," she responded, glancing over at Robert as he cursed and fumbled his way out of the bush. "If you eat these berries but your heart is impure..."
