"Though they seem to go very fast, even so won't it take well over a week to travel such a long distance?" "More like three days." Fred and Astra were astounded. On horseback, such a journey would have taken the better part of a month.

There was then the question of how to get a car.

  1. Bugsy hires one, using false papers.
  2. Madame Fifi generously lends them her own car.
  3. Bugsy buys a car cheaply from a friend of his who is in the second-hand car trade and who owes him a favour.
  4. Bugsy steals a car.
