The Never Ending Quest - Episode 12559

Fred realised that this must be one of the court mage's magical bottles, gusranteed to get to the intended recipient wherever he might be. So someone had managed to slay the dragon at last! He wondered who the slayer was. He hoped it wasn't Sir John; he was quite arrogant enough already.

Of course, returning home for debriefing was easier said than done, Fred reflected. He was about to throw the message away, when he noticed that there had been a last minute addition in different - and much fainter - ink. The addition read:

  1. Don't cause any diplomatic incidents before you get home. Falling in love with foreign princesses is out, for example.
  2. We've just found out the dragon had a mate, so there's still a dragon for you to slay after all.
  3. By the way, your father's disinherited you, so now you're just plain "Fred".
