Stacy was feeling a bit skeptical about this whole thing, herself. "Why on earth would research into restoring memory paths be classified?"

Thoms simply gave her a hard look, and Stacy sighed and said, "Right, yeah, I know, you can't tell me."

The agent looked them both over once more and said, "I think we'd like to ask you two some questions. Would you come with me, please?"

2. "Not until I've had some explanation," said Stacy. "And probably talked to a lawyer."
3. Inexplicably, Dr. Smith suddenly bolted past Thoms and out of the room.
