The Never Ending Quest - Episode 119688

"It happened only a few hours after I had sent you off on your quest," [episode 2] the King began. "One moment I was in the palace library, then in the blink of an eye I found myself in these caves."

Fred's heart sank. If by some foul magic the dragon could teleport the King from the royal palace, he thought, then nobody and nowhere can be safe. Is our kingdom doomed to fall? However he did not say anything, not wanting his monarch to think him defeatist.

The King went on: "I was chained up like you are, but after a while...

  1. "The dragon came and released me, though all the exits leading out of this section of the caves are locked, so I couldn't escape."
  2. "The dragon sent one of his lackeys to release me."
  3. He suddenly broke off. "Ha-ha, fooled you." With that, the figure of the King seemed to shimmer, and suddenly - instead of the King - the dragon was standing there, having dispelled the illusion he had created.
  4. At that point he was nterrupted by a groan from Melissa, who was coming round.
