She told Horgu, and asked what it might mean. He rubbed the sparse stubble on his chin, and said, "I no know, Vulbi. We no have new goblins for many moon. Maybe you have many much ones? Faith in word of Gorbukin. That all I know."

Vulbi nodded, but her mind was far away, now on Annix - what could this mean? Had Annix known this call was coming, specifically? And wanted to prevent it? Or was it a coincidence? Why should she care, anyway? He was the spirit of something she never would be again, and he'd wanted her to leave her family. Why to spite him, she'd follow Gorbukin's command - yes, she'd have the biggest and most powerful goblin family the world had ever seen!
