Mandy Starts to Cry

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 11886

Stacy paused outside the door and listened to Mandy's sobbing. She felt rather awkward about the eavesdropping, but found that she couldn't quite bring herself to either go in the door or walk away again until she'd heard whatever would come next.

"I'm sorry!" Mandy was wailing pitifully. "I'm such a failure at everything! I've gone and ruined things for you!"

Wow, thought Stacy. Sounds like maybe she IS on the level! I should go in and... I don't know, apologize or something. She put her hand on the doorknob, but before she entered she heard:

  1. Bob saying "Oh, Mandy, don't cry, please. I don't think you're a failure. I think you're wonderful." And then, she couldn't be sure, but it sounded like they were kissing.
  2. Mandy saying "I'm a lousy, terrible actor, and now Stacy's suspicious!"
  3. Mandy saying "Really, I only wanted to help!"
