It looked as though she had had it all wrong, Stacy reflected. It wasn't Mandy who was the schemer, but Bob. What an ingenious way he had found to start a relationship with the girl! No doubt he would claim that that wasn't his motive, and that he really had been on the level, and that he had just fallen prey to a momentary weakness, but she didn't buy it. Of course, he had claimed that the supposedly pretend affair had been Mandy's idea, [11827] and she hadn't contradicted him, but she would bet that he had planted the idea in her mind in the first place.

  1. She decided that it might be fun to try to REALLY embarrass Bob, so she entered the room.
  2. She turned and went back down the corridor, wondering if she could find her office - or at least the way out.
